Written Communication Skills Test for Entry-Level Bank Examiner Candidates
OCC bank examiners prepare reports conveying examination findings and recommendations concerning banks’ status. They must communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. The Written Communication Skills Test (WCST) measures whether or not a candidate demonstrates the written communication skills required for an OCC bank examiner. The test assesses candidates’ abilities to communicate effectively in writing and in a business setting. The WCST is designed to measure only communications skills and is not an assessment of candidates’ knowledge of basic banking or financial concepts. A candidate must pass this test to be eligible for interviews and a position as an Assistant National Bank Examiner.
