WASHINGTON — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency today announced the selection of Ellen M. Warwick as Director for Enforcement and Compliance.
Ms. Warwick will oversee the OCC’s Law Department Division that conducts investigations, recommends administrative actions, and litigates those enforcement actions on behalf of the agency. She will report to OCC’s Deputy Chief Counsel Daniel P. Stipano.
"Ellen has served skillfully and effectively in several of OCC’s Legal Divisions, and brings a wealth of litigation and enforcement experience to her new duties as Director for Enforcement and Compliance,” said Mr. Stipano.
Since July 2011, Ms. Warwick has served as an Assistant Director for Enforcement and Compliance at the OCC. Prior to that, she served as the Assistant Director for OCC’s Litigation Division, and as Special Counsel and then Senior Counsel in OCC’s Administrative and Internal Law Division. From 1990 to 1995, Ms. Warwick was a trial attorney with the Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch at the U.S. Department of Justice.
During her career, Ms. Warwick also was in private practice as a litigation attorney and served as a prosecutor in the Essex District Attorney's Office of Massachusetts.
She holds a juris doctor from the New England School of Law, a bachelor’s in economics and political science from Boston College, and an LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law.
