WASHINGTON — Senior Deputy Comptroller for Bank Supervision Policy and Chief National Bank Examiner John C. Lyons today testified on proposed capital rules to improve the safety and soundness of our nation's banking system by ensuring that banks and savings associations of all sizes have sufficient capital to weather adverse conditions and unforeseen losses. He testified alongside other federal banking regulators during a hearing held by the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Development.
