Associate Deputy Comptroller for Governance, Operational, and Information Technology Risk
Tom Crock is the Assistant Deputy Comptroller for Governance, Operational and Information Technology Risk in Systemic Risk Identification Support & Specialty Supervision at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Mr. Crock manages a team of examiners that identify and aggregate governance, operational, and technology risks across the OCC’s Large and Midsize Bank population. He also provides technical expertise on complex supervisory issues to onsite teams, helping them maintain consistent and appropriately prioritized supervision across that portfolio of banks.
Mr. Crock started his career as an Assistant National Bank Examiner in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1986 and was commissioned as a National Bank Examiner in 1991. Since then he has conducted technology, operational risk, and general safety and soundness examinations at banks of all sizes across the country.
Mr. Crock earned the Certified Information System Audit designation in 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
