Lead Economic Expert
Hein Bogaard is a Lead Expert in the International Analysis and Banking Condition division within the Economics Department at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
In this role, Dr. Bogaard supports country risk analysis, country risk examinations of national banks, and stress testing.
Dr. Bogaard joined the OCC in 2013. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor at the George Washington University School of Business. He has also worked for the World Bank and started his career as an economist in the international financial relations department of the Dutch Ministry of Finance.
Dr. Bogaard has a doctorate from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a degree from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.
