Jian Zhang, Ph.D
International Analysis and Banking Condition
Jian Zhang is a financial economist in the International Analysis and Banking Condition Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). She is working on country risk assessment analysis, especially banking sector risks in Asia countries (e.g. Japan, China) and the Middle East and Africa countries. She also works on banking sector stress test and financial network analysis.
Dr. Zhang’s research interests include international banking, financial and capital markets, and monetary policy.
Prior to joining the OCC in 2016, Dr. Zhang was an economist at the World Bank. She holds a Ph.D. in economics and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Hawaii at Manoa.
