Kevin von Poppen is a financial economist in the International Analysis and Banking Condition Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Prior to joining the OCC in 2015, Mr. von Poppen was a senior capital markets specialist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and held senior capital markets sales and trading positions at global investment banks including J.P. Morgan, Swiss Bank/UBS, and Societe Generale.

Mr. von Poppen has an MBA in international business from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Mr. von Poppen’s research interests include investment banks’ capital markets operations analysis and regulatory impact assessments.
