Robert H. Skinkle
International Analysis and Banking Condition
Robert H. Skinkle is a senior economist in the International Analysis and Banking Condition Division of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
Mr. Skinkle’s work at the OCC includes risk analysis of the emerging markets portfolio, with an emphasis on Asia. Special projects include developing early warning identification systems, country risk management techniques, and bank stress testing of international portfolios. Prior to this position, Mr. Skinkle specialized in commercial real estate and systemic risk analysis of the U.S. economy.
Before joining the OCC in 1991, Mr. Skinkle was the regional economist for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. His undergraduate degree in economics is from the University of California, Berkeley, and he has a master’s degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
