Simpson Zhang is a Financial Economist in the Market Risk Analysis Division (Market RAD) within the Economics department at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

Prior to joining the OCC in 2018, Dr. Zhang was a researcher at the Office of Financial Research in the U.S. Department of Treasury. Dr. Zhang earned a Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA.

Dr. Zhang’s research interests include financial network analysis, credit derivatives, and banking and financial institutions.
