Tong-yob E. Nam

Tong-yob Nam is a Financial Economist in the Compliance Risk Analysis Division within Economics at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Dr. Nam joined the OCC in 2015. His research interests are in macroeconomics, financial economics and real estate finance, with a special focus on portfolio choice, mortgage lending and borrowing behavior, and risk and pricing in the housing market. His recent working paper studies the role of mortgage recourse law in explaining variation in house price dynamics across states. Dr. Nam holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in statistics from Columbia University.
