WASHINGTON, DC -- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced the appointment of Mark P. Jacobsen as Senior Advisor to the Comptroller.
In addition to serving as an advisor to the Comptroller, Mr. Jacobsen will assist Chief of Staff Konrad S. Alt in coordinating the activities within the Comptroller's office, reviewing and analyzing matters presented to the Comptroller, and supervising the implementation of decisions made by the Comptroller.
Mr. Jacobsen joined the OCC in January 1994, serving as the Special Assistant to the Chief Counsel since July 1994. Prior to joining the OCC, he was an associate with the law firm of Covington & Burling, in Washington, D.C., where he specialized in corporate and financial institutions law.
Mr. Jacobsen earned a law degree from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Physics from Wheaton College in Illinois.
