Ensuring fair access and equal treatment to national bank customers is a fundamental part of the OCC's mission. OCC bank examiners evaluate compliance with consumer laws and regulations, and the agency takes enforcement actions when necessary. OCC customer service representatives assist national bank customers with questions and complaints, and the agency provides advisories to help consumers understand their rights, banking rules, and the risks associated with products and practices.
The OCC's Customer Assistance Group helps customers resolve issues with national banks, federal savings associations, federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. If you have a question or concern about your bank, contact them directly first.
Visit HelpWithMyBank.gov to get answers to commonly asked questions, file a complaint about a bank, or contact the OCC for other assistance.
