The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency today announced establishment of the OCC Information Line. This new service allows callers to use a touchtone telephone to request OCC documents to be directed to a fax machine.
"This service is intended to give bankers and the general public access to information from the OCC at their convenience," said Konrad Alt, Senior Deputy Comptroller for Economic Analysis and Public Affairs. "We welcome all comments on the program, and suggestions for including additional documents or services."
Users who call (202) 479-0141 can follow a series of voice prompts to request OCC documents 24 hours a day. The documents available include current OCC news releases and issuances and commonly requested items such as interpretations, letters, or past issuances. The list of available documents is updated continuously. A list of documents on the system at the time of this release is attached, with more information on how the system operates.
Comments and suggestions on the system should be directed to the Communications Division at (202) 874-4960.
