WASHINGTON, DC — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced it will sponsor a national conference entitled "Community Development: A Profitable Market Opportunity," February 22-23, 1996, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.
Comptroller Eugene A. Ludwig will host the conference, which will feature keynote addresses by The Honorable Robert Rubin, Secretary of the Department of the Treasury, and The Honorable Henry Cisneros, Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. A list of confirmed participants and speakers accompanies this release.
The conference will focus on the profitable business opportunities for national banks in the rapidly growing area of community development, featuring the latest tools and techniques that lenders and others can use to successfully tap this market.
