WASHINGTON -- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced that Pat Pointer has joined the agency as the Deputy Comptroller for Workforce Effectiveness. She replaces Cindy Petitt, who is retiring.
"Pat brings more than 18 years of federal experience to the OCC, adding to our great core of talent and experience," said OCC's Senior Deputy Comptroller and Chief Financial Officer Thomas R. Bloom. "She's been a leader in promoting human capital capabilities and services at the Department of Treasury and other federal agencies, and I know she will be a valuable addition to the OCC's management team as we continue to retain, train and attract employees to fulfill the OCC's mission of ensuring a safe and sound national banking system for all Americans."
Ms. Pointer has been the Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer for the Department of Treasury for the last three years. She was responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of Treasury human resources policy, equal employment opportunity and diversity programs, as well as overseeing the Treasury Executive Institute. Ms. Pointer also held management positions at the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Navy.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Ms. Pointer also has a Masters of Public Administration from American University, Washington, DC.
