WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is encouraging national banks to participate in a U.S. Treasury-sponsored exercise that is intended to test the financial sector's ability to respond to a pandemic like crisis, such as an influenza pandemic.
The exercise provides an excellent opportunity for organizations to test their pandemic plans and to identify opportunities for improvement, said Mark O'Dell, Deputy Comptroller for Operational Risk.
More information about the exercise is available on the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's Website at www.ffiec.gov, and on a website set up specifically for this test, at www.fspanfluexercise.com.
National banks seeking additional information can contact Jim Devlin at (202) 874-5013.
