Comptroller Discusses Mutual Savings Associations and U.K.’s Building Societies

UNITED KINGDOM—Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry today discussed challenges and opportunities facing mutual savings associations in the United States and their similarities with building societies in the United Kingdom. He made the remarks during an event hosted by the U.K. Building Societies Association.
