Comptroller Discusses Embracing Responsible Innovation

Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould will discuss embracing responsible innovation at the Wyoming Blockchain Symposium in Jackson, Wyoming.

The Comptroller will speak to the importance of de novo chartering and OCC efforts to support the formation of new banks, including those engaged in novel activities. In addition, Comptroller Gould will address the agency’s efforts to implement the GENIUS Act and provide a regulatory framework that will facilitate innovation and growth within the financial services industry by providing for effective but reasonable regulation of payment stablecoin issuers. He will also address what progress in these areas means for financial services and economic growth.
