WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency will host a workshop for new national community bank directors at the Sanibel Harbour Resort in Fort Myers, Florida, April 14-16.
The workshop entitled, "A New Director's Challenge: Mastering the Basics," provides practical information that expands bank directors' understanding of issues facing their banks. It is geared primarily to directors with less than three years of experience. The workshop should be particularly valuable to directors of new national banks, many of whom are also new to the industry. However, longer tenured directors who would like to review the fundamental requirements of their position may also find the workshop useful.
The workshop costs $100. Attendees receive a pre-course reading package, course materials, an OCC telephone seminar CD, other appropriate supervisory materials, a continental breakfast and lunch. The workshop is limited to the first 50 registrants.
