Alireza Ebrahim is a Senior Financial Economist in the Enterprise Risk Analysis Division within the Economics department of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). His practice in risk modeling and management is primarily focused on operational risk, credit risk, and stress testing. Dr. Ebrahim's research interests include banking, risk management, risk modeling, corporate governance, and corporate finance.
Dr. Ebrahim joined the OCC in 2011 after completing a doctorate in Finance at University of Tennessee. He worked as a consultant for Deloitte and Touche prior to starting his Ph.D. program. He also holds a master's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University, a master's degree in Socio-economic systems engineering from Institution for Research on Planning and Development and a bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from University of Tehran.
