Jeffrey Westphal serves as senior financial analyst in the Data and Analytical Solutions Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

In this capacity, Mr. Westphal is primarily responsible for providing analytical and technical support and solutions to OCC analysts of financial regulatory data. Mr. Westphal has a strong knowledge of call report data, economic data, and data analysis tools such as Tableau and SAS.

Mr. Westphal joined the OCC in 2001 as a financial analyst in the Economics Department, primarily alternating between performing and supporting data analysis that has contributed to quarterly briefings to the OCC Executive Committee, bi-weekly internal publications, and other research. Prior to joining the OCC, Mr. Westphal worked as an economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 1993 to 2001.

Mr. Westphal earned a dual bachelor degree in economics and German from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. and a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
