Robert Scavotto, Ph.D
International Analysis and Banking Condition
Robert Scavotto is the Director for the International Analysis and Banking Condition Division at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Dr. Scavotto leads a team of economists and financial analysts that identify, evaluate and monitor systemic risks to the federal banking system.
His interests include research on global economic risks and management of country risks at internationally active banks.
Prior to joining the OCC in 1997, Dr. Scavotto was an economist with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He earned a Ph.D. and master of arts degrees in economics from The Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor of arts degree in economics and government/international relations from Clark University.
